Creating an app
Developing an app, how do you do that?

How to turn your idea into an app
Would you like to have an app made? Then you need to start writing down the goals of the app. Have you determined the goals of the app? Then look for a development partner so that designers can get started with your app. The design should be viewed together with UX designers or user experience designers, because they develop the wireframe of the app. The wireframe is a blueprint that shows the structure of the app and the functionalities. When this process is satisfactory, an UI or user interface designer can transform the wireframe into a real graphic design with a visual appearance so that your corporate identity can be implemented in the app. After the design is created for the app, the front-and-back end developers get to work with the technical part.
How much it costs to create an app
The costs of having an app made are very different. This has to do with the nature of the app. For example, if you take an app that serves as a webshop, you don't need to take into account the underlying mathematical formulas. Developing these kinds of apps is quicker than developing apps that require more complexity. For example, we developed an app for Tailie that was able to determine your clothing size thanks to a photo you took yourself, and by placing points on that photo. Because this is related to more complexity, including mathematical formulas, it takes a lot more time than a webshop app and that's why apps like this cost more to get made.
How much time does it take to develop an app
The time to develop an app is also very different due to the functionality and complexity of the app. On average it takes about 2 months to create a simple app and 6 months or more to create a complex app. Generally speaking, you have to assume the following phases in the development of an app:
1. UX/development intake (1-4 weeks)
2. Analye and wireframing (2-4 weeks)
3. UX review/technical designrp (2-4 weeks)
4. Visual effect (1-4 months)
5. UI/develop Review (2-4 months)

What types of apps exist
Apps can be developed in different ways. We distinguish between native, hybrid, cross-platform and web apps. A native app is an app that you can download from the Apple or Google Play Store. The advantage of a native app is that it has to be installed on the user's device. You do not need an internet connection to use it and it is already tailored to your specific operating system. Web apps are applications that are mobile versions of a website. You don't have to download them and they are directly accessible in your browser. A hybrid app is an application that combines web and native apps. You install them on your device, but you load them from a web page. A cross-platform app allows you to program your app in a language that automatically converts the codes to the platform for which your app is intended. Unfortunately, this often slows down the app, because you always need the internet and it offers less possibilities.
How to make your app a success
When you have an app made, you need to think carefully about which app store you want to place it in. For example, Apple has stricter rules for the app store than the play store for Android. You also need to think carefully about which device you want the app made for. An app for an iPad requires different sizes and technical aspects than for a cell phone. So you need to think carefully about where your users are going to use the app to make your app a success. For example, we developed an app for BlueWaterApp that makes it easier for yacht owners to pay in the ports. We made it available for phones, but not for ipads, because the user pays with his phone.
